Cordoleani

Olivier Cordoleani is a French digital artist and art director whose work explores image-making beyond traditional photography.

A pioneer of the video game industry since the late 1980s, he has contributed to the creation of visual universes for major international studios and media groups, including Ubisoft, Sony, and Philips Media, and has collaborated with artists and cultural figures across entertainment and visual arts.

His current artistic practice focuses on photorealistic digital images designed as finished works rather than illustrations.
Through controlled light, layered depth, and precise composition, his images are conceived to exist physically — printed on plexiglass and produced in limited or open editions.

Each artwork presented on Photonumerique is a standalone piece, created to endure as a visual object, independent of screens and platforms.

Alongside his personal artistic work, Olivier Cordoleani is also the art director of the B.A.T. Remake video game project and the founding artist behind Pixelrelic, an atelier dedicated to physical digital artworks.
These parallel practices inform his visual language but remain distinct from the works presented here.
