Stellar Icons: The Planets of Our Solar System as Fashion Stars — Eight Planets Step onto the Runway

A deep-blue planet rests within a vast spiral of luminous clouds, suspended in the quiet immensity of space.

Stellar Icons asks a simple question: if the planets were people, how would they dress? The answer is a gallery of eight couture portraits, each world stepping forward in the light, the colour and the temperament astronomy already gave it. Venus – The Glamorous Goddess glows in gold and rose; Mars – The Bold Warrior wears rust and iron; Saturn – The Elegant Ruler turns its rings into a sweeping collar of silk.

The need — a portrait wall with a sense of humour

Our decorator sees a growing demand for figurative art that does not take itself too seriously: a face on the wall, but one that starts a conversation rather than a silence. These portraits do exactly that. Jupiter – The Grand Sovereign holds a living room or a hallway on its own, with the presence of a formal portrait and the wink of a fashion shoot; Neptune – The Serene Dreamer, in deep blues and pearl, suits a bedroom or a reading corner. Against the pale sage and celery walls arriving for 2027, the warm planets bring the heat the room needs, while Uranus – The Enigmatic Visionary adds the luminous blue that buyers are searching for.

The production — character first, costume second

The art director built each portrait from the planet’s own facts: its colour, its atmosphere, its place in the sky. Mercury, the swift and elusive messenger, becomes Mercury – The Mysterious Muse, half-turned, half-lit; Pluto – The Reclusive Icon is dressed in cold violet and distance, the outsider who refuses to leave the party. The fashion vocabulary — draped fabric, structured shoulders, dramatic studio light — gives the series its unity, while every pose and palette stays true to the world it portrays. Nothing is copied; each face is an original character.

The sale — a series made for pairing

Our gallerist recommends this collection to people furnishing a first apartment or a teenager’s room as much as to collectors of portraiture: it is joyful, it is immediately legible, and it works in groups. A single planet makes a striking statement; two make a dialogue — Venus – The Glamorous Goddess beside Mars – The Bold Warrior is the obvious couple, while Saturn – The Elegant Ruler and Jupiter – The Grand Sovereign hold court together. Printed on acrylic glass, the studio light gains a lacquered depth that makes the portraits look like magazine covers lit from within — the single gleaming surface in an otherwise matte room.
