Ostrel

Ostrel is one of the resident signatures of YTY Studio.

The name marks the studio’s line of work on landscape and the elements: sea and storm, high country, canopy, clay horizons, the earth seen from directly above. Water, mist and low light are treated as materials in their own right, and the horizon is less a subject than a threshold.

The approach is one of distance. Nothing is brought closer than it needs to be; scale is left to do the work, and the eye is given room to finish what the light leaves unsaid. Where a scene offers a focal point, it is usually withheld.

Ostrel signs a body of work, not a biography. The editorial line, the production and the artistic direction behind it are those of YTY Studio, documented on the studio page.
