Torvel

Torvel is one of the resident signatures of YTY Studio.

The name marks the studio’s line of work on the living and the overlooked: wild animals met at eye level, butterflies read as though they were precious stones, creatures of legend brought into studio light, and the small discarded objects nobody thinks to keep.

The approach is the portrait, applied without hierarchy. A wolf, a moth and a broken pencil are each given the frontal attention and the still, even light usually reserved for a human sitter. Nothing is made cute, and nothing is made monumental.

Torvel signs a body of work, not a biography. The editorial line, the production and the artistic direction behind it are those of YTY Studio, documented on the studio page.
