Behind the Art — the thinking of our decorator, art director and gallerist behind a single collection.
Dreamscapes: A Photorealistic Odyssey renders the impossible with the clarity of a photograph. Eight quiet allegories — The Wishing Well, The Mirror Pond, The Endless Stairs, The Leap — each one a scene you could almost have walked into, if only it obeyed the rules.
The need
Our interior decorator places these where the mind is allowed to wander: a bedroom, a study, a reading corner, the quiet end of a corridor. They are contemplative rather than loud — art you keep discovering rather than art that announces itself once.
The production
The art director’s move is the tension between how and what: hyperreal rendering applied to dream logic, which is precisely what produces the uncanny. The Lonely Lighthouse and The Path of Stars hold their solitude; The Watcher and The Whispering Tree keep a secret. Every piece carries an allegory — longing, time, courage — without ever spelling it out.
The sale
Our gallerist finds this the most re-readable kind of work: sharp enough to impress at a glance, strange enough to hold for years. On acrylic glass the photographic detail and deep tonal range are exactly where the medium excels.
